Qualifications

Education Elements is a forward-thinking consulting firm at the heart of K–12 education transformation. Within our Curriculum Services team, we collaborate with publishers, curriculum developers, open educational resource (OER) providers, school districts, and state education agencies. From custom curriculum design to full-service print and fulfillment, we bring ideas to life and deliver impact at scale.

To support this work, our Sales team builds strong relationships with partners and clients, ensuring they are matched with the right solutions to meet their goals. Once solutions are in place, our Professional Education Services (PES) team provides expert implementation and ongoing support, helping districts adopt and sustain high-quality educational resources that truly make a difference in teaching and learning.

The K-12 Professional Services Talent Manager reports to the SVP and GM, Professional Education Services and is responsible for deploying our people to client projects to ensure maximum efficiency of our client service personnel while balancing client satisfaction in an environment where client requirements are fluid. This role is a highly visible role in the organization and requires significant collaboration with finance given the direct impact workforce deployment has on business unit financial performance and key operating metrics, including utilization. This individual also plays a key role in driving performance management, supporting onboarding and training, and partnering with the Employee Engagement team to grow a skilled, mission-aligned team.

Key Responsibilities:

Deployment & Utilization

  • Strategically assign professional services team members to client engagements based on skills, capacity, and business needs. Collaborate with Senior Consultants and Research Scientist to adjust staffing models as client demands evolve.
  • Leverage data and analytics tools to make informed talent deployment decisions and drive continuous improvement in utilization, including monitoring team utilization rates; identify trends and implement actions to optimize billable hours.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce bench time and ensure optimal deployment of talent.
  • Manage pool of 1099 contractors and determine when contractors are necessary to supplement employee base.
  • Maintain an accurate forecast of resource demand based on sales pipeline and active project load.
  • Proactively identify skill gaps or capacity constraints that may impact service delivery or profitability.
  • Partner with finance and General Manager to understand project margins and ensure resource planning supports profitability goals.

Talent Management

  • Ensure staffing decisions consider both business needs and individual career development plans.
  • Lead onboarding for new team members to ensure rapid integration and role readiness.
  • Design and deliver training programs that build technical, instructional, and client-facing skills.
  • Partner with functional leads to identify knowledge gaps and develop learning resources.
  • Collaborate with Employee Experience team to attract and hire top-tier professional services talent with K-12 expertise.
  • Participate in the hiring process, including interviews, evaluations, and offer strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in deployment / talent management in a project based professional services environment, preferably in the K-12 education.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage and resolve conflict
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, performance management, and team leadership.
  • Skilled in data-informed decision-making and resource planning.
  • Working knowledge of PSA tools, preferably Kantata

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 plus Bonus
