Talent Management Specialist
Job Description Summary
This position supports the Talent Management team by maintaining projects and programs to foster leadership growth. Responsibilities include analyzing performance gaps and learning needs, making recommendations for program improvements, and collecting data to benchmark leadership development. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, customers, and external vendors, coordinating communication plans, managing project activities related to complex learning strategies, and evaluating learning and business outcomes.
Job Description
- Research and prepare proposals for performance and learning initiatives to support the Talent Management strategy.
- Implement and enhance performance management tools and processes.
- Analyze performance data and prepare reports with insights and recommendations.
- Partner with HRBPs and other departments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development and roll-out of performance management initiatives.
- Support the design, coordination, and execution of the talent review process across multiple organizational levels.
- Analyze talent data and trends to identify capabilities, gaps, and development needs of various leadership groups.
- Develop tools and frameworks to support succession planning and talent reviews.
- Create targeted development plans for high-potential talent and successors.
- Support change management and communications related to talent initiatives.
- Create compelling, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations to communicate insights, trends, and strategic recommendations.
- Develop and execute complex talent management deliverables with internal teams and external vendors.
- Identify and recommend solutions for project risks.
- Foster a collaborative environment by demonstrating good listening skills and providing constructive feedback.
- Build and maintain trust with stakeholders by ensuring positive impacts on business results.
- Lead individual and group efforts in multiple project work streams, track progress, and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to identify appropriate solutions.
- Respond proactively to requests and set expectations with customers and SMEs.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, or Instructional Design and 3 years of experience in instructional design, performance consulting, and/or development OR 7 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced PowerPoint and presentation design skills, including data visualization and executive storytelling.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to deadlines and time-bound projects.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with the capability to interpret and produce data-driven insights.
- Knowledge of talent management and/or performance management trends.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and drive execution across multiple projects.
- Curious, agile, and solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, or Instructional Design.
- Knowledge of Workday or other Performance Management systems.
- 3 years of Talent Management experience in a corporate or business setting.
- Familiarity with modern performance management trends.
- Experience working with multiple internal and external customers, senior management, and subject matter experts.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with business intelligence platforms to connect data from multiple sources.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft platforms such as Power Automate and Power Apps to create automated workflows.
