Job summary

Encoura is seeking a Manager or Director of Talent Management & Development to own how our people experience work and how they are developed over time. The role partners across the organization to foster a high-performance, inclusive culture and leads two Talent Development professionals.

You will design the FY27 and FY28 talent roadmaps, oversee performance cycles in Lattice, and maintain Litmos/Articulate/Rise while building scalable leadership programs for a multimodal, merged workforce.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in talent management, organizational development, or learning and development with hands-on design and delivery of programs.
• 8+ years for Director level with ownership of enterprise-wide talent programs and leading a team.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience designing and running a performance management cycle that managers consistently completed.
• Experience owning employee engagement end-to-end with action that leaders carried out.
• Experience building succession plans and running talent reviews with senior leaders.
• Strong consultative skills to influence leadership and shape approaches.
• Comfort with talent data and measuring program effect rather than just activity.
• Hands-on experience with Lattice or comparable platform and with at least one LMS/content authoring system.
• Experience in recently merged or integrating organizations preferred.
• Experience supporting distributed or high-volume hourly workforce preferred.
• Experience in higher education or education technology preferred.
• CLEAR identity verification may be required during pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated talent management and development strategy aligned with goals and values.
• Own the performance management cycle end to end in Lattice, from goal setting to calibration.
• Own engagement and culture; listen, translate results into action plans, and drive measurable change.
• Keep the learning stack (Litmos, Articulate/Rise) running and administer training today while assessing consolidation.
• Partner with the CPO on talent gap and capacity planning using data.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess capability needs and build leadership pipelines.
• Own manager guides from day one and revise based on evidence; measure adoption and outcomes.
• Lead, coach, and develop two Talent Development professionals.
• Utilize workforce analytics and talent metrics (Lattice and Domo) to assess program effectiveness.
• FY28: design succession planning, leadership development, consolidated learning program, and student success approaches
