Job summary

SEI is seeking a Practice Management Consultant to accelerate scale, efficiency, and culture in independent advisory firms. This role focuses on talent, leadership, and organizational design to drive sustainable growth and firm value.

Remote with up to 25% travel, candidates should bring deep lifecycle expertise and a business-owner mindset. Ideal background includes leadership development, compensation planning, and experience working with wealth management clientele.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years helping financial advisors or professional service firms grow and scale.
• Deep expertise across the full employee lifecycle: planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance, leadership, compensation, succession, engagement, retention.
• Experience designing leadership development programs and team workshops.
• Ability to translate talent strategy into practical advice and plans.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and operate in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation on talent-focused practice management topics for independent advisory practices.
• Help clients redesign roles, workflows, competencies, and career paths for AI-native environments.
• Coach leaders to treat talent as a strategic investment and drive ROI through workforce planning.
• Collaborate with SEI’s People and Culture team to apply proven talent tools and assessments.
• Develop scalable resources, playbooks, and curricula for advisor teams and leaders.
• Lead and grow SEI Next Gen Community with development experiences and networking.
• Partner with external experts to deliver value to advisory firms at scale.
• Direct special projects on talent, workforce development, and culture strategies.
