Job summary

Orlando Magic is seeking an Assistant Director, Talent Development (L&D) to partner with Senior Leadership in designing and executing a comprehensive learning strategy. You will oversee LMS operations, develop leadership programs, and measure impact across the organization.

You will identify skill gaps, create development opportunities, and drive a culture of continuous learning and growth, with a hybrid schedule and access to staff tickets and ERGs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, instructional design, or related
• Experience administering LMS and learning technologies
• Proven ability to assess needs, identify gaps, and propose solutions
• Expertise in instructional design, facilitation, adult learning principles, curriculum development, and training delivery
• Experience creating learning programs for all levels, onsite and virtual environments

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy.
• Create and implement a multi-year learning roadmap covering onboarding to leadership development.
• Identify capability gaps and recommend learning solutions to improve performance and engagement.
• Establish measurable objectives and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Oversee LMS administration and ensure an engaging learner experience.
• Develop and manage a catalog of learning resources and learning paths in the LMS.
• Leverage learning technologies to scale programs and increase accessibility.
• Develop dashboards to track participation, engagement, and outcomes.
• Evaluate impact of learning initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on LMS tech and industry trends.
