DMA is seeking a Talent Development Program Coordinator committed to fostering employee growth, learning, and retention. In collaboration with HR and leaders, you will manage Internship and Mentorship programs and contribute to new initiatives.

The role emphasizes building connections, supporting career growth, and maintaining accurate training records while continuously improving program quality and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience in HR or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in program coordination, event coordination/planning, or training.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation, organization and prioritization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of talent development programs, including scheduling training sessions and surveys.
  • Lead Internship Program coordination, onboarding, and resources for interns and mentors.
  • Plan and execute the annual Internship Summit with logistics and budgeting.
  • Support the mentorship program development and mentor-mentee connections.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement improvements.
  • Maintain records of training activities and learner progress with required reports.
  • Develop knowledge in the field and perform related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Talent Development Program Coordinator is responsible for administering the elements of DMA's talent development programs, which are designed to support employee growth, engagement, and retention. In partnership with other HR team members and leaders across the organization, this role primarily coordinates the organization's Internship and Mentorship programs, along with other programs currently in development. The Talent Development Program Coordinator helps foster a culture of learning and evaluation by building connections within the organization and by helping employees develop and navigate career growth opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with Talent Development staff to manage all aspects of various company talent development programs, such as scheduling training sessions, coordinating facilitators, speakers, and/or panelists, distributing, tracking, and summarizing surveys and questionnaires, organizing feedback sessions (e.g. round table discussions) and input meetings, and collaborating with other departments, as needed, helping to ensure the success of the programs.
  • Internship Program Coordination: Leads the planning, administration and continuous improvement of the Internship Program, including onboarding, program design, creating resources for interns and leaders, and serves as the primary point of contact for interns and their mentors and managers.
  • Intern Summit: Plans and executes the annual summer internship Intern Summit, including agenda building, communication, travel logistics, and budgeting.
  • Mentorship Program: Supports the development, implementation, and management of the organization's mentorship program, helping to ensure effective mentor-mentee connections and successful program outcomes.
  • Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of talent development programs - gathers feedback, identifies gaps and areas for improvement, and makes necessary adjustments to advance programs' quality, relevance, and alignment with the organization's and department's goals.
  • Maintains accurate records of training activities and learner participation and progress - prepares reports and documentation as required by the organization.
  • Develops self and always maintains knowledge in relevant field.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, event coordination/planning, project management, or training.
  • Project management certification a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented with strong documentation, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to influence others without authority.
  • Ability to adapt to change, and work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Learning management system (LMS) experience an asset.
  • Workday experience an asset.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
  • Travel: Minimal travel required up to 5-10%
  • Physical Activity: Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds Frequent repetitive motions with hands Able to lift up to 15 pounds
