Job summary

Lipson Lloyd-Jones, a London-based international law firm, seeks a Talent Development Manager to support the Global Corporate practice and potentially another group after integration. You will work with partners, associates and trainees, and collaborate with the wider Talent Development team in New York.

Lead succession planning, development conversations, and performance reviews; optimise workloads and resource allocation; guide career development for lawyers across the practice groups.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills capable of influencing at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication with good listening ability.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise and show strong organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong IT skills, especially Word and Excel, and comfortable manipulating data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the allocation of counsel, associates and trainees to matters based on workload and developmental needs.
• Coordinate annual and interim leave planning to ensure resources and breaks.
• Monitor workloads and review financial analytics to optimise utilisation and leverage.
• Ensure annual and interim performance reviews are completed for counsel, associates and trainees.
• Identify developmental and training needs during reviews and communicate them to partners; attend evaluation meetings.
• Record development conversations post-secondments or other significant matters as appropriate.
• Provide advice and guidance to associates and trainees regarding career goals.
