Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking an Employment Coordinator to build strong employer relationships and create unsubsidized employment opportunities for program members; you will market Jobs-Plus participants to employers and collaborate closely with Workforce1 career centers.

Responsibilities include securing jobs at or above minimum wage, coordinating on-site events, recruiting employers and partners, conducting field visits, preparing members for transitional employment, and supporting interview

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, human relations, social work or related field from an accredited institution or commensurate experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in job development or employer relations, workforce development, or 2 years in employment programs for individuals with barriers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cold calls to identify employers hiring and follow up on leads.
• Host at least two onsite employment events monthly at BJP.
• Attend quarterly PD sessions led by HRA or equivalent.
• Leverage employer relationships to meet members’ needs and secure interviews.
• Follow up with employers for feedback and next steps after interviews.
• Prepare training materials for seminars and workshops as needed by Career Development staff.
• Review local media to identify employer open houses and refer qualified members.
• Enter weekly reports of cold calls and field visits.
• Develop recruitment strategies and on-site events including “meet the manager” days and cyber info sessions.
