Job summary

City Winery Boston is seeking an energetic Programming Manager / Jr. Talent Buyer to source and book local and regional programming for the Haymarket lounge. You will handle contracts, advances, and show execution in collaboration with the Programming Director.

This role focuses on developing talent, managing artist relationships, and calendar execution while expanding City Winery’s programming footprint in the Boston market.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in talent buying, booking, artist management, or live entertainment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close artist deals.
• Existing relationships with agents, managers, and industry professionals.

Responsibilities

• Actively source, pitch, and secure talent for local and regional programming for City Winery Boston.
• Build and negotiate artist offers for approval by the National Programming Director.
• Maintain and grow relationships with agents, managers, and artist teams.
• Identify artists with multi-market potential and support routing opportunities across the City Winery network.
• Develop repeatable formats and residency-style programming for the Concert Venue and Haymarket Lounge.
• Book and manage supporting acts and openers as needed.
• Execute market-specific booking strategies and manage calendar holds and deal tracking.
• Monitor ticket sales and adjust booking strategies to support sell-through and profitability.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Ticketing to align booking with sales goals.
• Represent City Winery professionally in artist-facing communications.
