Job summary

Canonical is seeking a senior leader for Talent Science, reporting to the Global Head of Talent Science. Remote-based role worldwide, with travel 2–4 times per year for events.

You will coach a team, design and implement the roadmap, and tie hiring outcomes to selection methods. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in talent analytics, strong SQL, and BI tooling experience, plus excellent English communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in a Talent function, with a deep appreciation of recruitment and analytics that drive decision making.
• Proven analytical ability to dissect and analyse data using SQL; Python/R/SPSS acceptable alternatives.
• Exposure to BI tools (Superset is our platform).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver against strategic objectives focusing on product design and roadmap implementation.
• Crack the code on hiring, linking performance outcomes to selection methods.
• Design professional processes and frameworks to support delivery.
• Coach and mentor team members to grow analytical capabilities and thought leadership.
• Drive and represent the team in the absence of the Head of Talent Science.
• Collaborate with company leaders to communicate Canonical's talent vision.
