Position Overview
Seeking a highly organized and people-focused HR/Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support both the Human Resources and recruiting functions of the organization. This position plays a key role in attracting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting employees while ensuring personnel records, compliance requirements, and HR processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruiting process from job posting through candidate selection and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, qualifications, and hiring priorities.
- Prepare and post job advertisements across recruiting platforms.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals and networking events.
- Attend career fairs, hiring events, trade school events, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities.
- Review applications, conduct initial candidate screenings, and coordinate interviews.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for field and office positions.
- Track recruiting metrics, applicant activity, open positions, and hiring progress.
- Support daily administrative functions of the Human Resources department.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including employment paperwork, orientation scheduling, and pre-employment requirements.
- Ensure required employment documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with employee training initiatives and orientation programs.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, candidate, and company information.
- Perform other HR and recruiting duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in Human Resources or an administrative role preferred.
- Experience in the construction industry, electrical contracting, or a union environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with employees and management.
