Job summary

Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois is seeking a Talent Acquisition professional to design and implement recruitment strategies that attract top public educator talent. You will manage internal and external recruiting, screen candidates, and track metrics to advise leaders on time-to-fill and candidate quality.

The role collaborates with the HR manager and hiring managers to ensure alignment with TRS goals, including diversity-focused recruitment and active employer branding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or experience in lieu of degree.
• Five years of experience in Talent Acquisition with recruiting/sourcing top talent.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term talent strategies and processes focusing on recruiting and optimizing TRS’s talent acquisition function.
• Manage both internal and external recruiting processes to meet strategic goals.
• Screen resumes and prescreen candidates for qualifications and cultural fit.
• Track sourcing metrics and provide regular reports on pipelines and hiring progress.
• Collaborate with HR Partners to align talent initiatives with organizational objectives.
