Job summary

Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois is seeking a Talent Acquisition professional to design and implement recruiting strategies, build candidate pipelines, and conduct initial screenings. You will work with HR leaders to meet TRS’s hiring goals and improve the candidate experience across the process.

The role emphasizes data-driven recruitment, collaboration with HR Business Partners, and engaging both active and passive talent to fill critical positions within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Five years of experience in talent acquisition.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term talent strategies and processes focusing on recruiting and optimizing TRS’s talent acquisition function.
• Source active and passive candidates and build pipelines for vacancies.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to align recruitment with workforce needs and organizational objectives.
• Create job postings, screen resumes, conduct prescreening interviews, and manage candidate communications.
