Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Flex Position) to partner with hiring managers and HR business partners. You will manage full-cycle recruitment across assigned areas, focusing on sourcing, candidate engagement, and delivering high-quality talent for healthcare and other divisions.

This flex role requires travel across Virginia and North Carolina, supports planned and unplanned absences, and offers opportunities for growth while maintaining a strong candidate

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of Human Resources experience with a bachelor’s degree, or four (4) years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three to five (3-5) years of recruiting experience strongly preferred.
• Healthcare recruiting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting high-volume recruitment and hard-to-fill positions preferred.
• Demonstrated sourcing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for positions across assigned business areas.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to identify current and future hiring needs.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract diverse, high-quality candidates.
• Utilize proactive sourcing techniques and new talent channels to build candidate pipelines.
• Screen, interview, assess, and recommend candidates for employment opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.
• Support workforce planning efforts, recruitment strategy development, and process improvement initiatives.
• Lead or participate in talent acquisition projects as assigned.
• Effectively manage a high-volume workload and hard-to-fill positions while maintaining an exceptional candidate experience.
• Attend recruitment events and represent Sentara at talent attraction initiatives across Virginia and North Carolina.
