Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Recruiter I (Talent Acquisition Specialist, Manufacturing) for a 6-month contract in Los Angeles, hybrid schedule onsite Mon/Wed/Thu. You will manage full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing and technical roles, partnering with hiring managers, HR, and candidates to attract, hire top talent while delivering an excellent candidate experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with minimum of 3 years Talent Acquisition or Recruiting experience in a technical industry.
  • High School Diploma with minimum 7 years Talent Acquisition or Recruiting experience within a technical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for manufacturing and technical positions.
  • Review applications, source candidates, conduct screenings, coordinate interviews, and facilitate hiring decisions.
  • Successfully manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while maintaining quality hiring standards.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Create and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and networking.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Deliver timely communication and follow‑up to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain accurate data and candidate records within ATS platforms.
  • Partner with HR on offers, background checks, and onboarding activities.
  • Provide recruiting updates, reporting, and hiring metrics as needed.
  • Assist with market research, compensation benchmarking, and competitive talent analysis.
  • Support recruiting projects and process improvements.

Job Title: Recruiter I (Talent Acquisition Specialist, Manufacturing)

Location: 10990 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles California 90024

Duration: 6 Months with Possible Extension

Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM PST

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Position Overview
  • Our client is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist, Manufacturing to support full-cycle recruiting efforts for manufacturing and technical positions. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers, HR, and candidates to attract, assess, and hire top talent while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, technology, or other technical industries and be comfortable managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for manufacturing and technical positions.
  • Review applications, source candidates, conduct screenings, coordinate interviews, and facilitate hiring decisions.
  • Successfully manage 10 active requisitions simultaneously while maintaining quality hiring standards.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Create and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and recruiting tools.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through timely communication and follow‑up.
  • Maintain accurate data and candidate records within ATS platforms.
  • Partner with Human Resources on offers, background checks, and onboarding activities.
  • Provide recruiting updates, reporting, and hiring metrics as needed.
  • Assist with market research, compensation benchmarking, and competitive talent analysis.
  • Support recruiting projects, process improvements, interview training initiatives, and other team priorities.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of Talent Acquisition or Recruiting experience within a technical industry,

OR

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of Talent Acquisition or Recruiting experience within a technical industry.
Recruiting Experience
  • Minimum 3 year of full-cycle recruiting experience within either:
    • An agency recruiting environment, or
    • A high‑volume corporate recruiting environment.
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, aerospace, defense, technology, engineering, or other technical positions.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as:
    • Greenhouse
    • Workday
    • Lever
    • Similar ATS platforms

Experience utilizing sourcing tools including:

  • LinkedIn
  • Indeed
  • Dice
  • Handshake
  • Similar recruiting platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting for high‑growth organizations.
  • Manufacturing recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Aerospace or defense industry recruiting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with recruiting metrics and data‑driven decision making.
  • Experience managing multiple candidate pipelines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Results‑oriented with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
Work Environment
  • Professional office setting.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence required three days per week.
  • Participation in hiring events, university recruiting, career fairs, and networking activities as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift materials or equipment up to 10 pounds.
