Job summary

TalentCount is seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temp) to support a rapidly growing client in the home services industry. This role will manage the full life cycle of recruitment for internal and external roles across a designated region in a hybrid setup in Brea, CA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or HR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of ATS experience; Greenhouse is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Track candidate progress and maintain documentation in the ATS.
  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting across the designated region.
  • Develop recruitment strategies with hiring managers to align with business goals.
  • Advise on interviewing, adverse action, and compliance (ban-the-box).
  • Build relationships with trade schools, military bases, and other pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local recruitment regulations.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temp)to support our rapidly growing client in the home servicesindustry. This role will manage the full life cycle of recruitment for internal and external roles across a designated region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent acquisition and a collaborative, analytical approach to recruitment and onboarding.

This is a temporary (up to 6 months with potential to convert to permanent) and hybrid role in Brea, CA.

Core Duties
  • Track candidate progress and maintain accurate documentation throughout the recruitment and onboarding process in the ATS.

  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, pre-screening, interviews, assessments, background checks, substance screening, offer letters, and onboarding.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the recruitment marketplace, industry trends, and competitor data to stay ahead in sourcing top talent.

  • Partner with hiring managers to assess workforce needs and create recruitment strategies that align with business goals.

  • Advise hiring managers on best practices and legal requirements related to interviewing, adverse action, and compliance (e.g., ban-the-box).

  • Build and nurture relationships with Trade Schools, Military Bases, and other talent pipelines to expand recruitment sources.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to recruitment and onboarding.

  • Analyze data from the ATS and other recruitment systems, providing weekly reports and actionable insights to improve recruitment processes.

  • Coordinate recruitment events and track attendance for future planning.
    Assist with additional HR or recruitment-related projects as needed.

What were looking for
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or HR.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).

  • At least 2 years of experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); experience with Greenhouse is a big plus.

  • Strong hiring manager/stakeholder partnership skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Knowledge of HR operations, including hiring, payroll, employee benefits, and labor law compliance.

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
