Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting for all of Southern Champion Tray . This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent for the entire organization with a core focus on vocational positions . Job Responsibilities

  • Full Life Cycle Recruitment: intake meetings and documentation, job analysis, job documentation, sourcing best talent, conducting effective and insightful screening, making candidate recommendations to hiring managers, coordinating the interview process, ensuring strong candidate experience.
  • Works closely with People Business Partners and hiring managers to determine their recruitment needs and ensure their staffing needs are satisfied. Develops and executes an end-to-end hiring strategy for assigned departments. Devises and implements sourcing strategies to build pipelines of qualified candidates. Source qualified candidates l everaging several recruitment platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Dice, and media plans.
  • Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Continually develops networks/partnerships to build pipelines of candidates actively. Partner closely with and follow up with hiring managers to determine recruitment efforts.
  • Screen candidates as appropriate for hiring managers, including but not limited to resume review, in-depth phone screen, interview coordination, and follow up .
  • Ensures a positive candidate and new hire experience. Provide clear instructions and set expectations for candidates and interviewers. Effectively communicates with applicants and selected candidates, ensuring that they receive proper guidance and direction throughout the entire process. Follow up promptly to address inquiries with internal and external applicants or selected candidates.
  • Inform candidates of pre-employment requirements, position requirements, location, and wages.
  • Complete necessary background checks and references for all candidates upon acceptance of offer.
  • Be in regular contact with hiring managers and People Business Partners to provide progress updates on requisition status, calibrate on targeted candidate profiles, seek out feedback on quality of candidate slates, and align on potential changes in course of action and next steps as necessary.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and People Business Partners to enable them to understand the market landscape for highly sought-after skills.
  • Participate in job fairs and campus recruiting events, acting as an ambassador for the Company. Develop relationships with potential candidates and articulate Southern Champion Trays unique employee value proposition.
  • Partner with Total Rewards to maintain knowledge of compensation offerings, benefits, salary structures and variable pay plans for potential candidates.
  • Promote Southern Champion Tray company-wide programs in recruitment marketing, employee referrals, job postings, background verification and offer negotiations.
  • Maintains currency with market conditions including total compensation offerings and makes recommendations related to pay and benefits.
  • Adhere to Southern Champion Tray hiring guidelines and makes recommendations as needed to ensure alignment with Federal and State laws.
  • Maintains applicant tracking and other related systems and leverages system to organize and streamline the recruiting process.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources , Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience required . Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested .

Experience

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of full life cycle recruiting experience. Multi-site recruiting experience preferred .
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Yellow Belt Certification preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to understand, articulate and document a hiring manager’s stated requirements, and formulate a clear value proposition that will attract the caliber of candidate we need to meet those requirements.
  • Must be both tactical and strategic and have ability to communicate overall strategic vision as well as the execution details.
  • Ability to utilize structured candidate assessment methodologies, utilizing innovative sourcing/recruitment techniques to recruit passive candidates.
  • Ability to effectively build rapport/relationships via the phone.
  • Must be self -motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong recruiting skills and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are a must.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
