Job summary

Instron is seeking a strategic Talent Acquisition Partner in Norwood, MA, reporting to the HR Director. You will shape our organization by identifying and attracting top talent, collaborating with departments and leadership, and representing Instron in the community.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment, build partnerships with schools and military bases, and develop training for managers on effective hiring and onboarding. Strong analytics and compliance experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of partnering with business leaders to create and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with workforce needs and long-term priorities.
• Experience in high-volume recruitment within manufacturing, operations, or engineering environments preferred.
• Experience managing national recruitment for remote, field, and in-person roles.

Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and results driven Talent Acquisition Partner to join our HR team. In this role, you will report directly to the HR Director and play a key part in shaping our organization by identifying and attracting top talent. Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Strategize and execute all phases of the recruitment process that align with annual and long-term organizational goals.
• Partner with HR to build talent strategy focusing on organizational impact.
• Collaborate with department managers to create detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria that reflect business needs.
• Proactively source and connect with candidates for a variety of roles, including but not limited to: Field Sales Engineers/Field Service Engineers, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Product Management, Technicians, Assemblers and Customer Service.
• Create and build partnerships locally and nationally (trade schools, universities, military bases).
• Review and screen applications and assess candidates for both technical qualifications and cultural fit.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR Partners during the offer process, ensuring alignment on compensation, incentives, start dates, and pre-employment process.
• Partner with HR Coordinator in preparation for new hire start date by gathering candidate pre-employment information.
• Develops and leads training for managers on effective recruitment, interviewing and onboarding.
• Collect, track, and analyze recruiting KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, conversion rates) to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Attends and participates in recruiting events and other talent-related initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required

• Proven track record of partnering with business leaders to create and execute talent acquisition strategies that align workforce needs with organizational priorities and long-term business goals.
• Proven experience in high volume recruitment with manufacturing, operations and engineering or similar environments preferred.
• Experience with national recruitment for remote, field and in-person positions.
• Experience analyzing recruitment trends and report outs.
• Experience owning the entire recruitment process from job posting creation to onboarding.
• Ability to manage 15+ open roles across varying departments at a time.
• Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Passion and alignment with our mission, vision and values.
• Experience with Workday a plus.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment, at least 3 days in the office, with local and national travel required 20% of the time.

Compensation Information

This position has a starting salary range of $115,000 to $125,000 per year. Pay is determined by several factors, including a candidate’s experience, relevant skills, and qualifications
