Job summary

Hobart Brothers is looking for an experienced HR Manager to serve as the primary HR partner across multiple manufacturing locations. You will coach leaders, support employee relations, and drive talent initiatives in a fast-paced 24/5 environment.

The role focuses on culture, workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and compliance, partnering with plant leaders and the HR team to deliver an exceptional workplace experience and measurable business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 3+ years as HR generalist in manufacturing/operations.
• Experience handling employee relations with fairness.
• Strong communication and coaching across all levels.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, talent development, and performance management.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn.
• Experience with HR systems like Workday or SmartRecruiters is a plus.

About the Role

This role serves as the primary HR partner for leaders and employees across multiple manufacturing locations operating in a 24/5 environment. No two days are the same. You'll work closely with plant leaders, frontline employees, and the HR team to strengthen culture, develop talent, support business growth, and ensure our employees have an exceptional workplace experience.

What You'll Do

As a trusted business partner, you will:

• Support leaders and employees across multiple manufacturing locations and all shifts, helping create a positive, engaging, and high-performing work environment.
• Build strong relationships with employees at every level and serve as a trusted resource for coaching, guidance, and problem-solving.

• Partner with leaders to navigate employee relations matters, provide coaching, and support organizational effectiveness.
• Lead and support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts for both manufacturing and professional positions.

• Help drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, team-building activities, and inclusion efforts.
• Support performance management, compensation planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Participate in strategic projects that improve employee experience and business performance.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong HR expertise with a genuine passion for people.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3+ years HR generalist experience, preferably within a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Experience managing employee relations issues with professionalism, fairness, and sound judgment.
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
• Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, talent development, and performance management processes.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices.
• Strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset and a desire to continuously learn and grow.
• Experience with HR technology platforms such as Workday, SmartRecruiters, or similar systems is a plus.
