  • 2+ years of recruiting or staffing agency experience preferred, with supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.

  • Recruit for both professional and in-house operational/retail positions.
  • Coordinate and participate in on-site and off-site job fairs, hiring events, and community recruiting initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, workforce organizations, community partners, staffing agencies, and other talent sources.
  • Educate and coach hiring managers regarding recruiting best practices, candidate selection, and the hiring process.

Nonprofit Organization - Northwest/Central Houston, TX Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt Salary 65k - 75k Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for partnering with hiring managers and business leaders to develop and execute effective recruiting strategies. This position manages the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates through interviewing, pre-employment requirements, offer, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will bring a strong recruiting background, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to recruit for a variety of positions, including retail, professional, and operational roles. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers while delivering a positive candidate experience and meeting recruiting goals.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies. Manage the requisition process, ensuring job descriptions, approvals, documentation, and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) requirements are accurate and complete. Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, resume review, candidate screening, interviewing coordination, and candidate presentation. Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for a variety of positions. Recruit for both professional and in-house operational/retail positions. Coordinate and participate in on-site and off-site job fairs, hiring events, and community recruiting initiatives. Establish and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, workforce organizations, community partners, staffing agencies, and other talent sources. Analyze recruiting results, identify challenges, and implement creative solutions to improve hiring outcomes. Educate and coach hiring managers regarding recruiting best practices, candidate selection, and the hiring process.

Candidate Experience & Onboarding

Manage the candidate hiring process from initial screening through onboarding. Conduct initial background checks and coordinate other required pre-employment screenings. Prepare and issue offer letters and ensure required new-hire documentation is completed. Complete and verify I-9 documentation in accordance with applicable requirements. Facilitate New Hire Orientation and assist new employees with the enrollment process in the organization’s HR system. Ensure new-hire records and documentation are accurately maintained within the HRIS and electronic personnel file system. Maintain a professional, responsive, and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Reporting & Hiring Manager Partnership

Maintain recruiting reports and staffing trackers and ensure information is accurate and current. Meet regularly with hiring managers and senior leaders to discuss open positions, recruiting challenges, staffing needs, and progress toward filling vacancies. Monitor recruiting activity and identify opportunities to improve time-to-fill, candidate flow, and overall recruiting effectiveness. Maintain accurate documentation throughout the recruitment process. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience required. 2+ years of recruiting or staffing agency experience preferred, with supervisory experience a plus. Previous in-house recruiting experience hiring for retail, manufacturing, high-volume, operational, or similar positions strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience managing the full-cycle recruitment process. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruiting databases for sourcing, screening, tracking, and reporting. Strong sourcing and candidate development skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong relationship-building and consultative skills with hiring managers and candidates. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions and priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with an HRIS/HRMS preferred. Must be available to occasionally work evenings or weekends for hiring events or other recruiting needs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on recruiter who enjoys working directly with hiring managers and candidates and is comfortable managing multiple openings at various levels of an organization. A background in staffing agency recruiting combined with in-house recruiting experience would be particularly valuable. This person should be energetic, resourceful, organized, and comfortable thinking creatively to attract talent in a competitive market. Strong follow-through and the ability to build relationships throughout the organization are essential.
