Job summary

High Tech High seeks an HR Specialist focused on recruiting to join the Central Management Team. This role will support onboarding, benefits, and leave of absences while partnering with hiring managers to optimize the hiring process and candidate experience.

The position requires at least 2 years in Human Resources, with California leave of absence knowledge and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-campus, in-person role in San Diego County, CA.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
• School payroll experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of benefit administration and California leave of absences.

Responsibilities

• Act as a main point of contact for new hires and employees.
• Provide a high-quality candidate experience.
• Coordinate onboarding and maintain onboarding documentation.
• Verify I-9, TB tests, transcripts, and credentials.
• Oversee applicant tracking and salary placement for offers.
• Assist with health benefits enrollment and open enrollment processes.
• Collaborate with management to resolve discrepancies.
