Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Leader reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and provides leadership, support, advocacy, and vision for the Talent Acquisition strategy across the organization. S/he manages the TA Team in the U.S. and Europe and provides consultative advice to HR Business Partners regarding Talent Acquisition in Canada, Latin America, and AMEA. S/he also provides hands-on recruitment support for specific Operating Units or Departments, focusing on Executive roles. Key functions include:

  1. Managing the Talent Acquisition Team for the U.S. and Europe, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing team members.
  2. Setting the overall recruitment strategy and overseeing its implementation to achieve positive outcomes.
  3. Tracking and reporting on recruitment metrics, identifying areas for improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
  4. Investigating labor and employment market conditions and sharing relevant information.
  5. Collaborating to develop, implement, and share best practices.
  6. Managing external vendor relationships, including selection, invoice approval, and termination when necessary.
Qualifications

You are an upbeat, organized leader capable of multitasking. You remain calm under pressure and seek optimal resolutions for your team and the company. You possess a thorough understanding of recruiting methods, HR practices, and applicable employment laws.

You Also Possess
  • 10+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, including corporate and agency recruitment.
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, preferably on the carrier side.
  • 5+ years managing and leading a Talent Acquisition team through various business cycles.
  • Experience recruiting at large, complex organizations across multiple levels.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (iCIMS), HRIS (Workday), and sourcing tools like LinkedIn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a decentralized, matrix environment.
  • Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, stressful environment, managing multiple projects.
  • Discretion handling sensitive information.
  • Strong decision-making, supervisory, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Advanced technical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
