Supervisor Title: Human Resources Manager
Work Location: Remote in New York or Texas. If in New York and local to company headquarters in Schenectady, NY, there are days the Talent Acquisition Manager is expected to be in the office for company meetings.
Position Purpose: The Talent Acquisition Manager is pivotal in driving Transfinder’s talent acquisition strategy. This role is responsible for developing, facilitating, and implementing all phases of the recruitment process, directly influencing the quality and efficiency of Transfinder’s workforce.
By collaborating with hiring managers and utilizing innovative recruiting methods, the Talent Acquisition Manager ensures the organization attracts top talent. Additionally, this role promotes Transfinder as a best place to work, enhancing the company's employer brand and attracting high-quality candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Process: Conducts all phases of the recruitment process, including screening applications, selecting qualified candidates, and conducting initial and follow-up interviews. Coordinates interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Candidate Sourcing and Pipeline Management: Creates and implements sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. Maintains a candidate pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates. Builds and maintains relationships with community partners to enhance the candidate pipeline. Utilizes various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, and networking events to attract candidates.
- Candidate Experience: Ensures a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Provides timely communication to candidates.
- Collaboration and Strategic Partnership: Develops and maintains strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure alignment on recruitment strategies and goals. Collaborates with hiring managers to understand role requirements and candidate profiles.
- Strategy and Compliance: Forecasts hiring needs. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Stays up to date with industry trends and recruitment best practices.
- Reporting and Analytics: Maintains and updates the applicant tracking system to ensure efficient recruitment processes. Analyzes recruitment metrics and adjusts strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Tracks and reports on key recruitment metrics to measure the success of recruitment efforts.
- Administration: Writes job descriptions and recruitment advertisements. Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting events. Manages and promotes Transfinder’s employee referral program, including tracking employee referrals. Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong analytical skills to assess recruitment metrics and trends.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience:
- Over 5 years of proven experience in talent acquisition, encompassing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process, with a strong focus on hiring for technology roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing an applicant tracking system.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel to job fairs and recruitment events as needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Annual Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000.00
Total Compensation: Potential to earn up to $115,00.00 annually (includes base salary and performance incentives)
Compensation: Salary is established based on various factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history, job-related knowledge, education and training, skills, and geographic location.
