You will supervise Recruiters and TA Coordinators and serve as a hands-on contributor for key hires while partnering with HR and business leaders to drive growth and innovation. This role centers on building talent strategies, executing workforce plans, and delivering results for critical engineering and energy-related positions in a global, matrixed environment.

Caterpillar is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead recruiting for our Power & Energy segment, supporting the Oil & Gas and Marine organization across North America. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, workforce strategy, and execution. In addition to leading a team of Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Coordinators, the Talent Acquisition Manager will serve as a player-coach, providing direct recruiting support for key positions while partnering closely with HR and business leaders to deliver hiring results that directly support growth and innovation across the segment. This role reports to the Manager, Talent Acquisition for Power & Energy. Caterpillar's Power & Energy segment is at the forefront of powering the world—supporting oil and gas operations, electric power generation, electrification, and advanced energy solutions that enable sustainability, resilience, and innovation. What You’ll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned with business growth plans, workforce needs, and critical talent priorities across the Oil & Gas and Marine Division.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to anticipate hiring demands, provide talent market insights, and advise on workforce planning strategies.
  • Drive best‑in‑class pipelining, passive sourcing, and candidate activation strategies for hard‑to‑fill and highly specialized roles, leveraging advanced sourcing techniques, digital tools, and external networks.
  • Champion modern recruiting practices and technology‑enabled workflows, including ATS optimization, CRM usage, automation, and assessment strategies to improve speed, quality, and candidate experience.
  • Leverage workforce analytics, recruiting metrics, and market intelligence to evaluate performance, identify trends, and guide decision‑making.
  • Ensure a consistent and high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience across the end‑to‑end recruiting lifecycle.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing recruiting teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, sourcing strategy, and recruiting operations.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to partner credibly with senior leaders and deliver results through trust and collaboration.
  • Deep expertise in pipelining, passive sourcing, and candidate engagement, particularly for engineering, technical, or energy‑related talent markets.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, high-volume hiring initiatives across multiple regions, partnering with stakeholders to achieve critical workforce goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage recruiting technology (ATS, CRM, sourcing tools, automation, reporting) to drive process improvement and scalability.
  • Strong command of recruiting analytics, metrics, and workforce data to inform decision‑making and measure success.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, energy, industrial, or technology‑focused organizations.
  • Experience hiring technical, engineering, operations, or commercial talent.
  • Experience working within a large, global, matrixed enterprise.

  • This role requires 5 days a week in office
