Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to own complex searches and partner with hiring managers in a hybrid work setting in California. Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting across corporate and clinical roles.
• Experience leading a recruiting team or function.
• Proven track record closing competitive candidates and explaining rationale.
• Experience using ATS and HR tech (Pinpoint a plus).
• Experience recruiting senior-level roles in healthcare or tech.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Astrana Health is seeking a TA Lead who operates at the intersection of high-impact execution and emerging leadership. This role goes beyond carrying a strong requisition load. The TA Lead takes ownership of complex and mission-critical searches, serves as a trusted partner to hiring managers, and raises the bar for how recruiting is practiced across the team. This is a role for someone who runs a disciplined process and can tell the difference between a shortcut and a sound exception. You will be expected to know why a specific candidate says yes to Astrana, to defend the quality of your work when it is questioned, and to speak up when the team's output falls short of what the business needs. You will foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring that Astrana Health continues to hire high-performing professionals who align with our mission.

What You'll Do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for roles across corporate and clinical functions, including mission-critical and hard-to-fill searches
• Run a consistent, repeatable closing process across every search while tailoring the value proposition to what actually motivates each individual candidate, and surface offer risk early enough to act on it
• Mentor recruiters by providing guidance and support to drive optimal performance in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent
• Hold the team to a shared standard of quality, raising gaps in process, data integrity, or candidate experience directly and constructively rather than working around them
• Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers through facilitating calibration sessions, designing structured interview processes, and guiding hiring decisions
• Proactively build and manage talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles through direct sourcing
• Lead or contribute to TA process improvement initiatives that enhance quality, consistency, and hiring manager experience across the function
• Track recruiting metrics, identify trends, surface risks early, and translate data into actionable insights for TA leadership
• Deliver work that withstands executive-level scrutiny, from requisition setup and documentation through to reporting and candidate communication
• Champion a consistent, high-quality, and equitable candidate experience across all searches

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across corporate and clinical roles, with demonstrated experience in team or functional leadership
• Demonstrated track record of closing competitive candidates, with the ability to explain the reasoning behind a specific close and not just the outcome
• Experience raising standards within a peer group, including giving direct feedback to colleagues who are not direct reports
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technology (Pinpoint experience a plus)
• Proven experience recruiting for senior-level roles, preferably in a healthcare or tech environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to navigate ambiguity, connect dots across the business, and drive decisions with incomplete information
• Sets a high bar for personal work product and applies the same standard to the work of the team
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. Our available offices for this position are located at Alhambra, CA or Orange, CA.
• The national compensation target range for this role is: $105,000 - $115,000. Actual Compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
