Consumers Energy is seeking a Talent Acquisition Intern to support recruitment efforts across the organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in full-cycle recruiting, employer branding, candidate engagement, workforce planning, and university relations.

You'll gain exposure to strategic talent initiatives while developing HR and recruiting skills in a dynamic business environment, collaborating with HR and hiring managers on talent projects and internship programs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, or organizational development.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist recruiters with sourcing and screening candidates for internship, entry-level, and experienced positions.
• Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Help maintain ATS records and ensure data accuracy.
• Support career fairs, campus recruiting events, and employer branding initiatives.
• Participate in workforce planning and talent pipeline development activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recruiting metrics for leadership review.
• Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and business partners on talent acquisition projects.
