Job summary

Consumers Energy seeks a Talent Acquisition Partner (Campus Recruiting & Intern Program Manager) to drive early career hiring and university partnerships. You will attract, source, assess, and pre-select top talent, designing programs across university and community college ecosystems to support workforce goals.

You will manage program planning, events, participant experiences, and communications to ensure positive candidate outcomes and alignment with CMS opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related field with 2 years of experience in a Human resources role
• Associate's Degree in HR, Business or related field with 4 years of experience in a Human resources role
• High School Diploma with 6 years of experience in a Human resources role

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with leaders to anticipate workforce needs and plan early career hiring goals
• Plan and oversee campus career fairs, information sessions, and interviews
• Design and lead intern programs including onboarding, mentorship, and conversion to full-time roles
• Track hiring metrics and program outcomes to improve recruiting programs
• Serve as primary contact for Intern Councils and university partnerships
• Provide guidance on hiring practices and ensure strong fit for opportunities
• Manage full-cycle recruiting process with strong customer service
• Source and screen candidates and build a diverse talent pipeline
• Lead talent acquisition projects within the transformation roadmap
• Follow up with hiring managers to assess recruiting effectiveness
