Talent Acquisition & Early Careers Generalist

Overview
A leading organization in the energy and infrastructure industry is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Early Careers Generalist to join its Corporate Talent Acquisition team. This role will support full-cycle recruiting across corporate functions while playing a key role in the company's early careers strategy.
The ideal candidate will be an organized, people-focused recruiting professional with experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. This individual will oversee key components of the internship program, support university and campus recruiting efforts, and help develop recruiting and onboarding resources that improve consistency and the overall candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Internship & Early Careers Program
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the corporate internship program, coordinating logistics from offer acceptance through program completion.
- Coordinate intern orientation, professional development opportunities, networking events, mentorship, and other engagement activities.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to coordinate intern evaluations, conversion discussions, and program feedback.
- Develop and maintain internship materials, handbooks, onboarding guides, and related documentation.
- Track intern headcount, participation, conversion rates, and program outcomes.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned corporate positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and candidate communication.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements and establish effective interview and selection processes.
- Develop interview guides, evaluation tools, and other recruiting resources to improve consistency and hiring quality.
- Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information within the applicant tracking system.
- Provide a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
University & Campus Recruiting
- Build relationships with university career centers, faculty, student organizations, and other campus partners.
- Coordinate participation in career fairs and university recruiting events, including registration, logistics, materials, and staffing.
- Represent the organization at in-person and virtual campus recruiting events.
- Partner with internal teams to align campus recruiting efforts with hiring needs and timelines.
- Maintain recruiting calendars, school engagement information, and event results.
Onboarding & Process Support
- Support new hire onboarding activities in coordination with HR and hiring managers.
- Assist with onboarding documentation, background checks, I-9s, drug testing, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Develop and improve onboarding resources, process documentation, and recruiting toolkits.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting and onboarding processes.
Employer Branding & TA Operations
- Support early-career employer branding efforts across LinkedIn, Handshake, and other university-focused platforms.
- Assist with recruiting reports, pipeline metrics, and talent acquisition data analysis.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Talent Acquisition team.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Human Resource Development, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, HR, or recruiting coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating or maintaining recruiting, onboarding, interview, or program-related materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system preferred.
- Professional, candidate-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hiring managers and HR partners.
Preferred
- Experience coordinating an internship, early-career, or university recruiting program.
- Campus recruiting or career fair experience.
- Experience with Handshake, LinkedIn, or other employer branding/recruiting platforms.
- Experience supporting onboarding, I-9s, background checks, or other pre-employment processes.
- Experience working within a large or decentralized organization.
- Recruiting experience within the energy, construction, utility, infrastructure, or industrial industries.
