Job summary

United Bank in Griffin, GA is seeking an Employment Manager to oversee the bank’s employment function, including talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and employee relations. You will partner with management to attract qualified employees and ensure compliant employment practices across the bank’s offices.

You will lead full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, and stay- or exit- interviews while promoting the bank’s values. Strong HR leadership and banking experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience with full-cycle recruitment.
• Professional certification such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR advisable.
• HR experience in banking/financial services preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal/state employment laws and recruitment practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate employment strategies and policies.
• Partner with leaders to assess staffing needs and create recruitment plans.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, screening, interviews, offers, and placement.
• Oversee onboarding, background checks, and new-hire documentation.
• Provide guidance on salary ranges, equity, and compensation recommendations.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and internal mobility initiatives.
• Advise managers on performance, conduct, and employee relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.
• Analyze workforce data and report findings to leadership.
