Classification Pay Scale

In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale

Minimum: $26.00 Hourly
Maximum: $28.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides essential support to the talent acquisition team by coordinating recruitment processes and assisting in administrative tasks. This role involves scheduling interviews, maintaining candidate records, and ensuring an organized and efficient recruitment workflow, amongst other duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Understanding of various sourcing methods, including job boards and social media, and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines and track recruitment metrics.
  • Knowledge of relevant labor laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and compliance requirements for candidate documentation and onboarding.
  • Ability to assess resumes, screen candidates, and assist with interviewing and evaluating qualifications to match job requirements.
  • Familiarity with drafting job descriptions and coordinating the new hire onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Skill/Ability to:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with candidates and hiring managers professionally and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple recruitment processes, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify challenges in the recruitment process and collaborate with the team to find effective solutions.
  • Skilled in using HR software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite for daily operations and reporting.
  • Ability to handle various recruitment tasks simultaneously, including scheduling interviews, reviewing resumes, and coordinating events.
  • Capable of adjusting to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic recruitment environment.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive candidate and organizational information.

Required Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA degree in related field
  • 1 - 2 years of experience
