Job summary

Certified of New York is seeking a Construction Takeoff Specialist to support a growing pipeline of commercial and residential projects in NYC. This role suits someone with basic estimating or construction experience who wants to learn and work on architect-driven, high-end projects without requiring senior credentials.

Responsibilities include digital quantity takeoffs, reviewing drawings, assisting with cost estimates, organizing bid packages, and tracking revisions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of construction or estimating experience.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple bids.
• Clear, professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform digital quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software.
• Review architectural drawings and bid documents to extract accurate measurements.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and assembling complete bid packages.
• Organize subcontractor proposals, scope sheets, and bid comparisons.
• Track plan revisions, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Support Project Management with budgets, buy-outs, and bid follow-ups.
• Communicate professionally with subcontractors, architects, and internal teams.
