Job summary

Indera, formerly ARISE/EFR, is seeking part-time direct support professionals (DSPs) to work 1:1 with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities in Syracuse and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to make a difference in the community.

We have openings across Onondaga and Oswego counties. Morning, afternoon, and early evening availability is preferred, and transportation to the job site is required.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Assist with transportation/travel to appointments and activities.
• Support multiple individuals across Onondaga and Oswego counties as needed.

Job Location: Onondaga county - Syracuse, NY 13208, Position Type: Per Diem, Education Level: None, Salary Range: $17.50 - $18.75 Hourly, Looking to make a difference? Indera formerly known as ARISE/EFR is currently hiring part-time direct support professionals (DSPs) for multiple departments. DSPs are also known as mentors, skill builders, and 1:1 support staff. DSPs work 1:1 with people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. This is a perfect job for someone who has experience as a mentor, teacher, teaching aide, DSP, coach, or counselor; however, no experience is necessary or required. We serve all ages and have various openings throughout Onondaga and Oswego County.

We currently have significant need for staff who have mornings, afternoons and/or early evening availability. Candidates that are open to supporting several individuals and providing transportation/traveling would be considered a priority for additional hours.
