Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a skilled Tailor/Fitter to provide exceptional service through expert alterations. You will measure customers, perform fittings, and complete alterations to Nordstrom standards while maintaining productivity and teamwork.

You will educate customers on fit, construction, and trend in a professional, friendly manner, using store technology to manage alteration needs and collaborating with the Alterations & Store Team to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of fitting/tailoring/sewing experience preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and alterations equipment.
• Flexibility to work schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size, fit garments on customers, and mark areas for alterations.
• Perform fittings and complete sewing alterations per Nordstrom guidelines and standards.
• Meet department and individual productivity goals while following processes and procedures.
• Use store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs.
• Collaborate with Alterations & Store Team and educate customers on fit, construction, and trends.
