Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Tailor/Fitter to deliver exceptional service through expert alterations and fittings. You will measure customers, perform fittings, and complete alterations with precision in a fast-paced store environment.

You will collaborate with the Alterations & Store Team to meet productivity goals, educate customers on fit and construction, and use store technology to manage requests. Flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2-3 years.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and alterations equipment.
• Flexibility to embrace a schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark alterations.
• Perform customer fittings and sewing alterations per Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet department and individual productivity goals.
• Utilize store technology to manage alteration needs.
• Deliver customer expectations through teamwork with Alterations & Store Team.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, construction, and trends.
