Job summary

Nordstrom in Nashville seeks an experienced Tailor/Fitter to deliver exceptional alterations service and craftsmanship. You will measure, fit, and alter garments to meet customer specifications, while maintaining Nordstrom standards for quality and speed.

You will educate customers on fit and construction, collaborate with store teams, and adapt to a dynamic schedule to meet business needs and provide an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience preferred (2–3 years).
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and alterations equipment.
• Flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark areas for alterations.
• Perform fittings and sewing alterations to Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals and follow processes.
• Use store technology to manage alteration requests.
• Collaborate with Alterations & Store Team to meet customer expectations.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, style, and construction.
