Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Tailor/Fitter to provide exceptional alterations service in-store. You will measure, fit, and alter garments, manage multiple customer requests, and work with the Alterations & Store Team to meet quality and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of fitting and sewing experience, strong communication, and the ability to learn sewing and pressing equipment in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Able to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn and operate sewing and pressing machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and alterations and mark areas for alteration.
• Perform fittings and complete alterations on time per Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals while following processes and procedures.
• Utilize store technology to manage alteration requests.
• Collaborate with Alterations & Store Team to meet customer expectations.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, construction, and trends in a friendly manner.
