Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is hiring a Supervisor Tailings in Parshall, CO. The role oversees the safe operation of the assigned work unit, executes production plans, and ensures adherence to safety standards at the Henderson mine/mill complex.

You will supervise staff, manage materials and equipment, and contribute to performance evaluations while prioritizing safety and efficiency in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining-related discipline with at least one summer internship.
• Additional certifications or licensure relevant to the job may be required.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skilled in budgeting, monitoring, and administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and control the safe operation of the assigned work unit.
• Implement production plans according to the approved schedule.
• Perform daily operational duties and address issues as they arise.
• Conduct performance evaluations of staff and prepare staffing estimates.
• Maintain inventory, requisition tools and materials, and monitor expenditures.
• Train staff in safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety data sheets.
