NewRange Copper Nickel LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support tailings facility governance, field programs, and design studies under care and maintenance.

You will lead field program development, coordinate drilling and instrumentation, contribute to scoping and feasibility work, and help implement GISTM conformance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. The role requires PE or licensure progress, five years of mining experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mining or consulting.
• PE license or active progress toward licensure.
• Experience with tailings storage facilities design and management.
• Experience contributing to GISTM conformance is a plus.
• Minnesota or northern-regions work experience is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Lead development, oversight, and execution of geotechnical field programs for tailings facilities.
• Coordinate geotechnical drilling, instrumentation installation, and field investigations.
• Support scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, and other study phases.
• Integrate slope stability design and hydrology into project design.
• Develop standards, monitoring plans, and performance criteria.
• Manage project budgets and geotechnical contracting.
