Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Lift Operator for Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, CA. The role involves safe operation, loading, riding, and unloading of lifts to deliver a secure and enjoyable guest experience.

The position requires strong communication and teamwork, a readiness to work in all weather, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Paid hourly, with good benefits and growth opportunities within a premier resort family.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lift loading and unloading procedures and established safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensure chairlift loading and unloading areas are free of debris, smooth, and ready for guest/employee loading and unloading.
• Set up proper mazes and signage depending on the demand for the day.
• Periodically check signage to ensure it is still up to par.
• Remain engaged, attentive, and focused while safely loading and unloading guests from chairlift carriers.
• Provide additional assistance to children, guests with accessibility needs, or anyone requiring extra support.
• Snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
