Job summary

San Bernardino County is seeking a Supervising Program Specialist in the Transitional Assistance Department (TAD) training unit. The role oversees training and development staff, guiding program development, analysis, and training while shaping policies, procedures, and knowledge assets for TAD programs.

The position also manages complex department initiatives, evaluates efficiency, monitors contracts, and oversees technology upgrades, with flexible schedules and occasional hybrid work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• Two years of full-time experience in a human/social services agency or educational institution, involving administrative or training duties.
• Two years of second-level supervisory experience in a public sector human/social services program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and development staff engaged in program development, analysis, and training.
• Develop policies, procedures, and knowledge assets/tools/trainings for TAD programs.
• Manage projects for department initiatives with cross-department impact; evaluate program efficiency; monitor contract compliance; and oversee technology upgrades.
