Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the AGIIL team at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL, to support U.S. Army DEVCOM. You will drive end-to-end systems engineering for tactical networking, data architectures, and IT infrastructure, collaborating with software, hardware, and test teams.

The role emphasizes translating operational needs into robust technical solutions, ensuring delivery for national security and warfighter readiness in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics with 2+ years of engineering experience (or 6 extra years in lieu).
• Active Dow Secret security clearance required; US Citizenship.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences, including military personnel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex systems and trade studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Engineering activities across the lifecycle for aviation, medical, or tactical networking systems.
• Provide technical oversight using waterfall, spiral, and agile methodologies.
• Develop system architectures and detailed design specifications.
• Perform requirements analysis, flow-down, verification planning, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain the technical baseline with rigorous configuration management.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and test engineers for integrated solutions.
• Design and optimize IT infrastructure elements related to system deployment.
