Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Architect in San Diego, CA, to lead development and sustainment of tactical networks. The role emphasizes software engineering, system integration, and agile DevOps practices in a dynamic DoD environment.

You will design and sustain TACNET systems, collaborate with engineering teams, and support on-site and remote work arrangements with periodic travel. Must be a US citizen with active clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience with DoD C4ISR in enterprise IT environments
• 4+ years in a DevOps environment with Agile practices
• 2+ years scripting and automation using PowerShell and XML development
• 2+ years design, analysis and support of LANs (NIP/NIC)
• Experience with Linux-based systems and Red Hat environments

Responsibilities

• Provide system life cycle software engineering support for NAVWAR and NIWC customers
• Focus on software components on tactical networks to sustain TACNET systems
• Analyze failures and modify COTS components to meet customer requirements
• Code, test, debug and tune complex software solutions per customer specs
• Work with external partners to troubleshoot and integrate systems
• Create engineering docs and manage changes through CM processes
