Job summary

General Motors Africa & Middle East in Warren, Michigan, seeks a Lead Tact Ops Manager - Exterior to coordinate cross-functional efforts with Purchasing, Engineering, and Logistics to resolve critical supply issues and support business transfers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-graduate experience in purchasing, supply chain, industrial, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Willing to travel 75% domestically/internationally; overnight weekends may be required.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years Automotive Manufacturing Operations experience.
• 3+ years in die casting or machining operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build supplier relationships.
• Broad understanding of manufacturing processes: material handling, inventory, OEE, capacity, throughput.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases with autonomy and accountability.
• Ability to prepare and present information to various levels and audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve supply issues.
• Function as liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and suppliers.
• Determine root cause of supplier delivery problems and implement resolutions.
• Support corrective actions development and implementation for critical issues.
• Improve supplier delivery performance through process improvements and lead time reduction.
• Provide executive reports and participate in proactive strategy initiatives.
