Program Summary The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations. Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.
Job Summary The General Maintenance Worker (MVO) performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, and support tasks related to facilities, equipment, and operational areas. This role also operates motor vehicles to transport personnel, tools, and materials as needed to support maintenance and logistics activities. The maintenance employee will be responsible for conducting basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs as assigned. This position is contingent upon award.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $74,900. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.
This position will be a part of a physical work environment that requires standing, walking, and lifting. There is potential exposure to machinery, tools, fuels, oils, and outdoor conditions. Employees may also be required to work shifts, overtime, or weekend support based on mission needs.
