This field-based position requires adherence to safety and environmental regulations and coordination with foremen and paving crews. Candidates should be able to work early hours and extended shifts during paving season, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years operating tack or distributor trucks.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement preferred.
• Knowledge of tack materials, rates and temperatures.
• Able to work early hours and extended shifts during paving season.
• Strong communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and transport tack trucks to and from job sites.
• Apply asphalt tack coat at specified rates and coverage areas.
• Maintain proper tack temperature and spray bar operation.
• Coordinate timing with foremen and paving crews.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and equipment care.
• Clean spray bars, nozzles, tanks and hoses.
• Monitor material usage and report quantities applied per job.
• Ensure compliance with safety, traffic control and environmental rules.
