Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Marketing Category Manager in Plano, TX to drive sales growth and market share with national retailers and B2B channels. This role focuses on developing and executing category and channel strategies to enhance product visibility, optimize shelf space, and maximize revenue.

The ideal candidate will have 6-8+ years in retail management or category management within consumer electronics, strong negotiation skills, and experience with major retailers such as Best Buy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in business, marketing or related field.
• MBA preferred for advanced strategic responsibilities.
• 6-8+ years in retail management or category management.
• Proven track record with national retail and B2B channels.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building with internal and external partners.
• Experience in consumer electronics / mobile sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop category and channel strategies to grow sales and market share.
• Own retail P&L for Best Buy and related accounts; drive revenue and margin.
• Design channel-specific strategies for distribution and penetration.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and supply chain teams.
• Create quarterly promo plans aligned with sales objectives.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights.
• Negotiate agreements for promotions, space, and pricing.
