Position SummaryResponsible for the operation of the pits during his/her assigned shift. Responsible for all Casino operations in the absence of the General Manager. Responsible for adhering to the System of Internal Controls, NIGC MICS, and federal cash reporting requirements. Has the ability to sign Request for Fill/Credit, Fill Credit slips, table opener/closer, temporary opener/ closer, jackpot slips, federal cash reporting documents, complementaries, and promotional items. The Table Games Shift Manager has access to the pit podium, pit area, table banks, and cards and dice in play and in the storage areas. Meeting all performance standards leads to attracting and retaining a qualified workforce, provide opportunities for qualified team members, and contribute towards the ongoing success at Pueblo of Sandia today and in the future.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn the absence of the General Manager, is responsible for all Casino and Table Games operations as MOD (Manager on Duty) and submits daily report of activity in the casino.Assists in the planning and implementation of policies, rules and directives to accomplish Casino and Departmental objectives.Improves and standardizes company and departmental policies and procedures.Directs Pit Managers/Supervisors in coordinating the work of their assigned employees and assigned areas of responsibility to assure shift continuity.Ensures strict adherence to the Sandia casino system of internal controls.Directs and monitors supervisors and employees to ensure game protection and loss prevention techniques are enforced.Evaluates and continuously compares the performance of the Table Games operation and standards. Analyzes abnormal deviations from the norm and takes corrective actions when necessary.Assists in planning game types, house rules and limits. Consults with casino management on appropriateness and suitability.Ensures Table Games and Casino operations comply with gaming laws and regulations.Communicates information to incoming Shift Manager and Table Games Manager.Works to ensure compliance with all dealing procedures.Supervises and trains all games supervisors.Supervises all disciplinary issues on the shift.At own discretion, opens and closes games.Provides assistance and makes the ultimate decision regarding all player disputes on the games or within the company.Responsible for overseeing the evaluation of Pit Managers, Floor Supervisors and Dealers.Provides excellence in customer service and ensures the same from all employees.Assists with the hiring and staffing of Table Games personnel.Make judgment decisions at company and games department level.Maintains an accurate assessment of ongoing drop and win/loss figures.Completes all final closing figures for all games.Verifies Keno, Slot, Caribbean Stud, and Let It Ride Jackpot payouts.Notifies all departments of any observed maintenance issues.Notifies all departments of any observed employee misconduct.Provides direction and assistance for all company emergencies.Makes decisions on any evictions.Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.Additional ResponsibilitiesProvides direct management and supervision to all reporting Team Members, typically for a larger department, operational area or more complex professional department.Functions as an advisor to the operations and sets goals that are results oriented, organized, and account for business challenges.Guides the team to achieve a well-defined structure and efficient operation.Delegates responsibilities to the most qualified Team Members through observing and understanding strengths and weaknesses.Creates an environment of teamwork, through communicating common goals, shows appreciation for team members contributions and on-going support, and leads by example.Collaborates and communicates effectively in a professional and articulate manner.Demonstrates strong knowledge of all reporting departments/operational areas.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems, generate solutions, and implement them.Key Performance IndicatorsThis position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.
