Job summary

Dutch Valley Restaurant in Sugarcreek, OH is hiring part-time team members to help with dining room and guest service. You’ll gain frontline hospitality experience and work in a friendly, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, providing information about local attractions, bussing tables, maintaining a clean dining area, and supporting other staff while enjoying flexible schedules and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible with schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with information about bakery, gift shop, and local attractions.
• Quickly return items forgotten by guests.
• Assist guests in need or notify servers when help is required.
• Keep dining room clean and free of debris.
• Place dishes safely and assist the dishwasher.
• Clean up spills promptly and maintain a tidy area.
• Ensure the dining room floor is clear.
• Assist staff in other restaurant areas.
• Provide support to staff as needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide guests with information about bakery/gift shop/local attractions
• You’ll quickly return items forgotten by guests before they leave
• You’ll be aware of guests in need and assist them or notify their server
• Clean tables quickly without splashing food/liquids or make excessive noise
• Place dishes/glasses/silverware in tubs carefully to prevent damage and help the dishwasher
• Clean up spills as needed
• Make sure the dining room floor is clear of debris and clutter
• Make sure that cars are clean and well maintained
• Provide service to staff members in other areas of the restaurant
