Job summary

ComEd is seeking a Senior Manager for Relay & Protection Engineering to lead the T&S Relay Engineering organization. You will oversee staff, provide technical oversight, and ensure adherence to EED engineering standards.

You will drive strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and foster a high-performance, learning-driven culture while ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction goals are met across the EED system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8–10 years design experience (or 12+ years in lieu of degree).
• Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills.
• Solid understanding of transmission and substation components and systems.
• Experience with budget planning and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design leadership for T&S Relay projects and provide field technical support.
• Drive short- and long-term strategic and labor initiatives to meet safety, reliability, and performance goals.
• Oversee budgeting, capital and maintenance investments, and work prioritization.
• Foster high-performance culture and continuous improvement within the team.
• Develop the Design team's capabilities and conduct performance reviews.
• Engage in continuous employee engagement and process improvements.
