Job summary

Exelon's ComEd division seeks a T&S Relay Engineer to design protection schemes for substation equipment across high- and medium-voltage networks. You will lead engineering tasks, mentor peers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and safety.

Applicants should possess a BS in Engineering with PE license or equivalent, 7+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of electrical systems and standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with PE license or related credentials.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of standards, codes, methods and practices relevant to engineering.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience; OJT reduction with degrees/licenses.

Responsibilities

• Lead assignments in specialized engineering areas with state-of-the-art credentials.
• Lead projects with significant financial and operational impact; field testing and troubleshooting.
• Develop commissioning plans; write tasks for documentation deliverables.
• Provide detailed technical training, mentorship, and peer review.
• Participate in planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
• Lead multi-discipline teams; may supervise contractors.
• Act as expert in specialized area; may provide expert opinions.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Professional Engineer license

Graduate degree in Engineering or MBA
